Every volunteer project team member commits to a fundraising goal of $895usd ($1,395 without the $500 group discount or individual scholarship).  This amount has been carefully calculated to cover all expenses (listed below) for your volunteer project.  This does not cover international airfare.  Inquire about available SCHOLARSHIPS here.  Expenses included:

  • 2-nights accommodation in Quito
  • 6-nights beachside accommodation in Canoa*
  • Dinner each day
  • All domestic (Ecuador) air & ground transportation
  • 4-hour daily volunteer work
  • 2-hour daily surf lesson (4:1 ratio)
  • All-day surfboard rentals
  • Introduction to local indigenous tribe
  • Re-forested mangrove island excursion
  • Animal sanctuary excursion
  • Surf safari to remote tropical beach
  • Salsa dancing lessons
  • Beach parties & bonfires
  • Rash guard & t-shirt (and various other treats from our sponsors)
  • A donation to the community of Canoa
  • All volunteer project supplies
  • First Aid & CPR Supervision (4:1 ratio)
  • Chaperoned International Flights available from USA

Eco Surf Volunteers - Learn to Surf

Eco Surf Volunteers also promotes awareness of local environmental and social issues.  In 2009, Eco Surf Volunteers committed to hosting beach clean-ups along approximately 10 miles of the Southern California coast.  Current projects aim to expand this effort to regions outside California.Coronado High School Leo Club and Eco Surf Volunteers at a San Diego Beach Clean-up.
